Altared Realities – Toward Atonement by Randy Waln
Altared Realities is an exhibition of photography-based digital prints by Albuquerque artist Randy Waln. The compositions in the exhibition were created by digitally combining photographs taken by the artist to create the finished artworks. The relationship of humans to nature is the general theme underlying all of the artworks. Waln’s exhibition statement states, “This exhibition as a whole asserts that the natural world is sacred, worthy of reverence and respect. It is a completely rational worldview that values the natural world as the source and sustainer of all life. “
We welcome the public to join us at the Opening Reception/Talk for an opportunity to meet the artist and discuss the issues raised by the artwork.
